Foothill Trails Division Communication and Outreach January Recap
The Foothill Trails Division Communications and Outreach Committee met on Wednesday evening to discuss their initial plans for the 2022 calendar year, though the meeting was plagued with technical issues from the beginning. The meeting was finally called to order at 7:17pm by board chair Judi Trujillo.
After a proper introduction of Foothill Telegram to the committee, Ms. Trujillo moved on to the first item to be discussed, the community 2022 calendars that had been available for sale. All calendars were distributed and none are left on hand, which is great for the council and community. Community member Julie T noted a photographer was recently taking pictures of Canadian Geese at Angeles National Golf Club, and suggested that those pictures, or ones like them, could be used in the 2023 calendar.
The next item was a discussion of potential outreach events during the 2022 calendar year. Ms. Trujillo did not anticipate the FTDNC participating because none had been announced yet. This does not mean they will not participate in events such as the Watermelon Festival if they are to be held. With no events suggested by the committee, Ms. Trujillo moved on to the next two items.
Ms. Trujillo and FTDNC Treasurer Cindy Bloom covered the new business cards and Constant Contact email subscription. Ms. Bloom clarified that the cost of the cards still needs to be approved by the budget and finance committee.
The final item was returning the FTDNC to compliance by ensuring that the agenda for each meeting was posted to the FTDNC website before the meetings. Ms. Trujillo stated she would ensure all agendas are available and be in contact with the web host to post them. With that and the compounding audio issues, Ms. Trujillo accepted the motion to end the meeting at 7:49 pm. The FTDNC Communications and Outreach Committee is scheduled to meet next on Monday, February 7.
